2D Shapes at Christmas!

Christmas is exciting for children (and adults) but why not make maths fun at this time of year, with this quick, simple and fun activity?

2D and 3D Shapes are everywhere around us and are incorporated into every single object that we use and look at. Learning about shapes is a very important part of a child's development, it not only helps them to identify visual information, but it also enables them to learn skills in other curriculum areas - including reading and maths! An early step in understanding numbers and letters is to recognise their shape.

To make this activity easier, we are going to focus on 2D Shape.
